Dermatix® Silicone Scar Gel

Dermatix Gel is an advanced scar care brand focused on improving the visible appearance of scars after the skin has healed. It dries quickly into an invisible, odorless, non-greasy layer and can be worn under sunscreen, skincare, or makeup once dry. It is designed for practical daily use, including scars on visible areas and moving parts of the body.

Dermatix® Ultra contains cyclic and polymeric siloxanes and Vitamin C Ester. The silicone components help create a protective layer over the scar, while Vitamin C Ester supports the visible lightening of darker scar tissue.

Dermatix® Ultra should only be used after the wound has fully closed, stitches have been removed, and the skin is dry and intact. For surgical scars, this is often around 10 to 14 days after surgery, depending on the procedure and medical advice. It should not be applied to fresh wounds, open skin, or infected areas.

Dermatix® Ultra is usually applied twice daily. The scar area should be cleaned with mild soap and water, then dried before application. A pea-sized amount is enough for a scar up to about 6 inches long. Applying more gel does not improve results and may make drying slower.

Scar improvement usually requires consistent use over time. A minimum treatment period of 60 to 90 days is commonly recommended. Minor scars are often treated for around 3 months, while larger scars, burn scars, and surgical scars may require 6 to 9 months of regular use. Individual results can vary.

Yes. Dermatix® Ultra can be used on cesarean scars once the incision has fully healed and stitches have been removed. It can help soften, flatten, and lighten the appearance of the scar over time. Fresh scars generally respond better than older scars, so early scar management is important once the skin is ready.

Dermatix® Ultra can be used on both new and older scars, but best results are usually seen when treatment starts while the scar is still fresh, especially within the first 3 months. Scars less than 2 years old may still respond. Older, larger, or more developed scars may need longer use and may show more limited improvement.

Dermatix® Ultra is mainly intended for raised scars, surgical scars, burn scars, keloids, and hypertrophic scars. For acne marks, post-acne discoloration, oily blemish-prone skin, and certain acne scar concerns, Dermatix® Acne Scar is the more suitable product in the Dermatix range.

Dermatix® Ultra is generally suitable for sensitive or allergy-prone skin, but users with a known silicone gel allergy should avoid it. If irritation, redness, itching, or discomfort occurs, use should be stopped. People with medical skin conditions should consult a dermatologist before starting treatment.
