What Is Dermatix®?
A practical answer to raised, darkened, or stiff scars after the skin has healed.
Dermatix® is an advanced silicone scar gel built for adults who want effective scar care without a complicated routine. The hero product, Dermatix® Ultra, combines CPX Silicone technology with Vitamin C Ester to help lighten, soften, and flatten the visible appearance of scars over time.
The Dermatix scar gel format dries in about 1 to 2 minutes into an invisible, odorless, non-greasy layer that can be worn under sunscreen, skincare, or makeup once dry. That makes the Dermatix silicone gel especially practical for visible areas — face, neck, hands, joints — and for moving parts of the body where silicone sheets are awkward.
Dermatix is not for open wounds. It is for scar management after the wound has fully closed, stitches are out, and the skin is dry and intact. For best results, treatment usually starts while the scar is still fresh — ideally within the first 3 months after the skin has healed.
How Dermatix® Works
A simple twice-daily routine you can fit around real life.
Cleanse and dry
Wash the scar area with mild soap and water, then pat the skin completely dry.
Apply a thin layer
Use a pea-sized amount and spread it in a very thin layer over the scar — more is not better.
Let it dry
Allow the gel to dry for 1 to 2 minutes. Once dry, sunscreen, skincare, or makeup can be applied on top.
Repeat twice daily
Use morning and evening, every day, for the full treatment period to support visible results.
How long until I see results?
Scar care takes consistency. For minor scars, plan on at least 60 to 90 days of twice-daily use, with many routines continuing for about three months. Larger scars, burn scars, and surgical scars typically need 6 to 9 months of regular use. The silicone layer supports the skin barrier and helps regulate moisture loss while Vitamin C Ester targets darker scar tissue. Individual results vary by scar type, age, size, and location.
Designed for Real Scar Concerns
Built for adults managing scars from surgery, recovery, and everyday life.
Surgical scars
After plastic, facial, or general surgery — start once the incision has healed and stitches are out.
Cesarean scars
Begin once the wound has fully closed. Fresh C-section scars usually respond better than older scars.
Burn scars
Once skin has healed, longer treatment of 6–9 months is typically appropriate for burn-related scarring.
Keloid & hypertrophic scars
Helps soften and diminish the appearance of raised scars. Severe keloids may also need professional treatment.
Facial & cosmetic-procedure scars
Transparent, makeup-safe finish makes it practical for visible scars on the face and neck.
Everyday scars
Cuts, falls, scratches, abrasions, insect bites — once the skin has fully closed, scar care can begin.
Dermatix® Ultra is intended for raised scars and is not designed for depressed acne scars. For acne marks and post-acne discoloration, Dermatix® Acne Scar is the more appropriate product in the range.

A necessary cream! It dries quickly and feels clean. In my experience it sits comfortably alongside other silicone scar options I have tried — neither better nor worse for my use.
StellaThis works wonders on helping post-surgery scars look better over time.
Peggy WorthingtonThis scar gel works very well. I have been using it consistently and can already see my scar becoming lighter and smoother. The texture is soft, non-greasy, and absorbs quickly without irritating my skin.
DI WUVery nice product. Easy to apply, dries fast, and feels lightweight on the skin.
mk changBought for my son when he had an operation on his leg, so he had three long scars. It reduced the bumpiness and really smoothed them out. You do have to use it every day for several weeks before you see results.
SaraGreat product — recommended to me by a facial surgeon. It keeps scar tissue soft so raised scars can settle and become less visible.

What people most often want to know before starting Dermatix®.
Dermatix Gel is an advanced scar care brand focused on improving the visible appearance of scars after the skin has healed. Its core product, Dermatix® Ultra, is a silicone-based scar gel designed to help lighten, soften, and flatten scars caused by surgery, cesarean sections, burns, cuts, falls, scratches, insect bites, and other everyday skin injuries.
Dermatix® Ultra is used for scar management after a wound has fully closed. It is suitable for raised scars, hypertrophic scars, keloids, surgical scars, burn scars, cesarean scars, facial scars, and everyday scars from minor injuries. It should not be used on open wounds or on skin that is still bleeding, wet, or infected.
Dermatix® Ultra forms a thin, flexible silicone layer over the scar. This helps support the skin barrier, reduce moisture loss, and create conditions that may help regulate collagen production. Over time, consistent use can help the scar look softer, flatter, and less noticeable. The formula also contains Vitamin C Ester to help improve the look of darkened scar areas.
Dermatix® Ultra uses CPX Silicone technology and Vitamin C Ester rather than a basic cream or botanical-extract formula. It dries quickly into an invisible, odorless, non-greasy layer and can be worn under sunscreen, skincare, or makeup once dry. It is designed for practical daily use, including scars on visible areas and moving parts of the body.
Dermatix® Ultra contains cyclic and polymeric siloxanes and Vitamin C Ester. The silicone components help create a protective layer over the scar, while Vitamin C Ester supports the visible lightening of darker scar tissue.
Dermatix® Ultra should only be used after the wound has fully closed, stitches have been removed, and the skin is dry and intact. For surgical scars, this is often around 10 to 14 days after surgery, depending on the procedure and medical advice. It should not be applied to fresh wounds, open skin, or infected areas.
Dermatix® Ultra is usually applied twice daily. The scar area should be cleaned with mild soap and water, then dried before application. A pea-sized amount is enough for a scar up to about 6 inches long. Applying more gel does not improve results and may make drying slower.
Scar improvement usually requires consistent use over time. A minimum treatment period of 60 to 90 days is commonly recommended. Minor scars are often treated for around 3 months, while larger scars, burn scars, and surgical scars may require 6 to 9 months of regular use. Individual results can vary.
No scar treatment can completely remove a scar. Dermatix® Ultra is designed to improve the cosmetic appearance of scars by helping them look lighter, softer, flatter, and less visible. Results depend on the scar type, age, size, location, and consistency of use.
Yes. Dermatix® Ultra can be used on cesarean scars once the incision has fully healed and stitches have been removed. It can help soften, flatten, and lighten the appearance of the scar over time. Fresh scars generally respond better than older scars, so early scar management is important once the skin is ready.
Dermatix® Ultra can be used on both new and older scars, but best results are usually seen when treatment starts while the scar is still fresh, especially within the first 3 months. Scars less than 2 years old may still respond. Older, larger, or more developed scars may need longer use and may show more limited improvement.
Dermatix® Ultra is mainly intended for raised scars, surgical scars, burn scars, keloids, and hypertrophic scars. For acne marks, post-acne discoloration, oily blemish-prone skin, and certain acne scar concerns, Dermatix® Acne Scar is the more suitable product in the Dermatix range.
Dermatix® Ultra is generally suitable for sensitive or allergy-prone skin, but users with a known silicone gel allergy should avoid it. If irritation, redness, itching, or discomfort occurs, use should be stopped. People with medical skin conditions should consult a dermatologist before starting treatment.
The Dermatix range includes products for different stages and types of skin recovery. Dermatix® Ultra is for scar care after the skin has healed. Dermatix® Acne Scar is designed for acne marks and acne-related scar appearance. Dermatix® Ultra Kids is made for children aged 3 months and above. Dermatix® Wound Care is used earlier in the recovery process for selected wounds, superficial burns, and grazed skin before switching to scar management once the wound has healed.
Dermatix products are part of an international scar care range distributed across multiple healthcare markets. Dermatix® Ultra is manufactured by Hanson Medical Inc. in Kingston, Washington, USA, with regional distribution and registration handled by authorized local partners. The brand focuses on silicone-based scar care developed for everyday use, visible skin comfort, and long-term cosmetic scar improvement.
